ROW Global Health and ROW Foundation (collectively, “ROW,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you visit https://rowglobal.org/ (the “Website”), contact us, subscribe to communications, make a donation through an external provider, interact with our social-media pages, or otherwise engage with ROW.

ROW Global Health and ROW Foundation may each be responsible for personal information relevant to their respective activities. They may also share information with one another when reasonably necessary to support the shared mission and operations of the ROW family.

Information We Collect

Information You Submit Through the Website
When you use the Website contact form, we may collect your name, email address, organization, telephone number, message, and any other information you choose to provide. Contact-form submissions are transmitted by email and may also be stored in the Website database.

Newsletter Subscriptions
When you subscribe to ROW updates, we may collect your email address and related subscription information. Constant Contact processes and manages these subscriptions on our behalf. Constant Contact may also provide information about email delivery, opens, link interactions, subscription status, and communication preferences.

Donation and Donor Information
ROW does not directly collect payment-card or bank-account information through this Website. Online donations are completed through Bonterra Network for Good or another external provider.

After a donation, ROW may receive donor information from Bonterra Network for Good, including the donor’s name, contact information, donation amount and date, donation frequency, fund designation, tribute or memorial information, notification-recipient information, communication preferences, and transaction or donor identification information. ROW may also maintain correspondence and records relating to matching gifts, donor-advised funds, checks, grants, and other contributions.

Payment-card and bank-account information submitted through an external donation service is processed by that provider under its own privacy and security practices. ROW generally does not receive complete payment-card or bank-account numbers.

Donor-Advised Funds and International Giving
If you initiate a donor-advised-fund gift, international contribution, or other specialized transaction through TrustBridge Global or another external provider, that provider may collect information directly from you. ROW may receive information needed to identify, acknowledge, administer, and document the contribution.

Information Collected Automatically
When you visit the Website, ROW and its service providers may automatically collect information such as your Internet Protocol address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, approximate location derived from an IP address, dates and times of visits, and interactions with Website content.

Cookies and Similar Technologies
The Website uses cookies and similar technologies for operation, security, analytics, embedded content, and related purposes. If you interact with ROW through Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, or another platform, we may receive information made available by you or the platform in accordance with your settings and the platform’s policies. We may also receive information from charitable-giving platforms, organizational partners, public sources, event registrations, or persons who refer or connect you with ROW.

Sensitive and Health Information

ROW’s mission concerns epilepsy and associated psychiatric disorders, but the general Website contact form is not designed to collect medical records, diagnoses, treatment information, insurance information, or other sensitive health information. Please do not submit sensitive personal or medical information through the general contact form, newsletter form, or a public social-media post.

If you voluntarily provide information about your health or another person’s health, you represent that you are authorized to provide it. ROW will use such information only as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was provided and as permitted by applicable law.

  • support ROW’s charitable programs, partnerships, reporting, and mission-related activities;

  • protect the rights, safety, and property of ROW, its supporters, partners, beneficiaries, Website visitors, and others; and
  • establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

You may withdraw consent at any time when processing is based on consent. Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal or processing supported by another lawful basis.

Between ROW Organizations
ROW Global Health and ROW Foundation may share information when reasonably necessary to administer shared operations, donor relationships, charitable programs, communications, reporting, and the ROW mission.

We may provide information to organizations that support our Website, communications, donations, donor management, analytics, security, accounting, auditing, professional services, and charitable operations. These may include Constant Contact, Bonterra Network for Good, TrustBridge Global, Google, Vimeo, YouTube, website-hosting providers, technology vendors, accountants, auditors, consultants, and professional advisers.

Program and Organizational Partners
We may share appropriate information with charitable, program, funding, or operational partners when necessary to carry out a program, administer a contribution, fulfill a request, document charitable impact, or support our mission. We seek to limit such disclosures to information reasonably necessary for the purpose.

ROW does not sell personal information for money. ROW does not share personal information collected through this Website for cross-context behavioral advertising or use it for targeted advertising.

You may unsubscribe from fundraising and marketing emails by selecting the unsubscribe link in the message or contacting us at info@rowglobal.org. We may continue sending nonmarketing communications relating to donations, transactions, legal notices, or requests you have made.

Data Retention

ROW retains personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including maintaining donation and tax records, administering supporter relationships, complying with legal and accounting obligations, resolving disputes, protecting rights, and enforcing agreements.

Donation and financial records may be retained for extended periods when required for tax, accounting, auditing, charitable-registration, or legal purposes. Contact-form submissions, newsletter information, analytics information, and correspondence are retained according to operational needs, applicable law, and the settings or retention practices of the relevant service provider.

Data Security

ROW uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of Internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may request information needed to verify your identity and authority. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law, but we may require proof of authorization and direct verification with the individual. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

ROW is based in the United States. If you access the Website, donate, subscribe, or otherwise interact with ROW from another country, your information may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in the United States or another country where ROW’s service providers operate. Those countries may have privacy laws that differ from the laws in your country.

Where required, ROW and its service providers may use legally recognized safeguards for international transfers, such as contractual protections, consent, or another transfer mechanism permitted by applicable law.

The Website links to or incorporates services operated by third parties, including Bonterra Network for Good, Constant Contact, TrustBridge Global, Google, Vimeo, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Children’s Privacy

The Website is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. ROW does not knowingly collect personal information through the Website from children under 13. Donations should be made by adults or with the involvement and authorization of a parent or legal guardian.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the Website, contact us so that we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our Website, charitable activities, service providers, or legal obligations. The revised policy will be posted with a new effective date.
