Terms of Use
Terms of Use
Effective date September 21, 2026
These Terms of Use govern access to and use of https://rowglobal.org/ (the “Website”), which is operated on behalf of ROW Global Health and ROW Foundation (collectively, “ROW,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Website.
Website Purpose
The Website provides general information about ROW, epilepsy and associated psychiatric disorders, charitable programs, organizational partners, events, news, fundraising, and opportunities to support ROW’s mission.
Website content is provided for general informational and educational purposes. It is not intended to constitute medical, legal, tax, financial, or other professional advice.
No Medical Advice
Nothing on the Website constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, prescribing advice, or a recommendation for a particular patient. Website content does not create a physician-patient, pharmacist-patient, or other healthcare-professional relationship.
Do not start, stop, delay, or change a medication or treatment because of information on the Website. Consult an appropriately qualified healthcare professional about medical conditions, medications, and treatment decisions.
If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or the applicable emergency number in your location and seek immediate medical care. Do not rely on the Website, contact form, email, or social media for emergency assistance.
International Information
ROW works internationally, and the Website may describe programs, services, healthcare conditions, legal structures, or charitable-giving opportunities in different countries. Laws, medical practices, product availability, charitable regulations, and tax treatment vary by location.
You are responsible for determining whether your use of the Website or participation in a giving opportunity is lawful and appropriate where you live. References to tax deductibility or charitable treatment generally concern United States law unless expressly stated otherwise.
Donations
Online donations are processed through external providers, including Bonterra Network for Good. ROW does not directly process payment-card or bank-account information through this Website.
Donations may also be made by check, donor-advised fund, matching-gift program, international giving service, or another method described on the Website. Donations made through external providers are subject to the provider’s terms, privacy policies, transaction procedures, and technical requirements.
You represent that you are authorized to use the payment method and information submitted in connection with a donation. Donations should be made by adults or with the involvement and authorization of a parent or legal guardian.
Unless otherwise stated, donations are intended to support ROW’s charitable mission and may be used where the relevant ROW organization determines the need is greatest, consistent with donor restrictions accepted by ROW and applicable law.
Tax deductibility depends on applicable law and the donor’s individual circumstances. ROW does not provide tax, legal, or financial advice. Donors should consult their own professional advisers regarding tax treatment, donor-advised funds, international gifts, and other giving arrangements.
Questions concerning a completed donation, receipt, designation, duplicate transaction, or possible refund should be directed to ROW at info@rowglobal.org. Any refund or correction is subject to applicable law, ROW’s policies, and the procedures of the external payment provider.
Donor-Advised Funds and International Giving
The Website may link to TrustBridge Global or other services that facilitate donor-advised-fund or international contributions. ROW does not control these external services and does not guarantee their availability, eligibility requirements, processing time, fees, tax treatment, or results.
Accuracy of Information
ROW endeavors to provide useful and accurate information, but medical knowledge, program information, statistics, partner information, event details, legal requirements, and charitable-giving procedures may change. ROW does not warrant that every item on the Website is complete, current, error-free, or suitable for a particular purpose.
Dates on reports, news posts, program updates, presentations, and downloadable materials indicate when the information was prepared or published. ROW is not obligated to update archived materials except as required by law.
Intellectual Property
The Website and its content, including text, photographs, graphics, reports, videos, logos, service marks, designs, downloads, and software, are owned by or licensed to ROW and are protected by intellectual-property laws.
“ROW,” “ROW Global,” “ROW Global Health,” “ROW Foundation,” “One World. One Standard.,” associated logos, and other marks displayed on the Website are trademarks or service marks of ROW or their respective owners.
Subject to these Terms, ROW grants you a limited, revocable, nonexclusive, nontransferable license to access and use the Website for personal, educational, and noncommercial informational purposes. You may print or download a reasonable number of pages for those purposes if you retain all copyright, attribution, and proprietary notices.
No Website content may be republished, sold, sublicensed, commercially exploited, materially altered, or used to imply ROW’s endorsement without prior written permission.
Permitted Sharing
You may share links to publicly available Website pages through email or social media, provided that you do not misrepresent the content, imply an unauthorized affiliation or endorsement, remove attribution, or use the material unlawfully.
Prohibited Uses
You may not:
- use the Website in violation of law or another person’s rights;
- misrepresent your identity or affiliation with ROW;
- submit false, fraudulent, misleading, or unlawful information;
- use Website content to provide patient-specific medical advice;
- remove copyright, trademark, photo-credit, attribution, or proprietary notices;
- introduce malware or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Website or connected systems;
- interfere with Website operation, security, or another person’s use;
- use automated methods to scrape, harvest, or extract Website content or personal information, except through ordinary search-engine indexing that respects applicable technical controls;
- use the Website to solicit funds while falsely claiming an affiliation with ROW; or
- use ROW’s name, content, programs, beneficiaries, partners, or marks in a misleading, defamatory, exploitative, or unauthorized manner.
Contact Forms and Submissions
If you submit a question, comment, story, photograph, suggestion, or other material, you represent that you have the right to provide it and that it is accurate and lawful.
Do not submit confidential business information, sensitive medical information, or another person’s private information through the general contact form. Submitting ordinary feedback does not obligate ROW to compensate you or treat the submission as confidential.
Any proposed use by ROW of a submitted personal story, photograph, testimonial, or other identifiable material for public communications should be subject to any additional permission or release ROW determines is appropriate.
Third-Party Websites and Services
The Website may link to or embed services operated by third parties, including Bonterra Network for Good, Constant Contact, TrustBridge Global, Google, Vimeo, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, organizational partners, and other providers.
ROW provides third-party links and features for convenience and does not control their content, availability, accessibility, security, terms, or privacy practices. A link, reference, or embedded feature does not necessarily constitute endorsement. Your use of a third-party service is governed by that service’s terms and policies.
Partner and Beneficiary References
References to program partners, healthcare organizations, funders, beneficiaries, countries, or other organizations describe ROW’s activities or relationships at the relevant time. They do not necessarily imply endorsement of every position, activity, product, or statement associated with the referenced organization or person.
Website Availability and Changes
ROW may modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any part of the Website at any time. ROW does not guarantee that the Website will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components. ROW may correct errors and update content without notice.
Disclaimer of Warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE WEBSITE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” ROW DISCLAIMS ALL EXPRESS AND IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, AVAILABILITY, AND SECURITY.
SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN WARRANTY DISCLAIMERS, SO SOME OF THESE DISCLAIMERS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ROW GLOBAL HEALTH, ROW FOUNDATION, AND THEIR DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, VOLUNTEERS, REPRESENTATIVES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE WEBSITE, ITS CONTENT, OR A THIRD-PARTY SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ROW’S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR A CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE WEBSITE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ROW Global Health, ROW Foundation, and their directors, officers, employees, volunteers, representatives, and agents from claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the Website, your material violation of these Terms, or your infringement of another person’s rights.
Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any legal action arising from or relating to the Website or these Terms must be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in DuPage County, Illinois, and each party consents to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
This section does not prevent either party from seeking appropriate injunctive relief in another jurisdiction when necessary to protect intellectual-property, confidential, or other legal rights.
Changes to These Terms
ROW may update these Terms by posting a revised version with a new effective date. Changes apply prospectively from the stated effective date. Your continued use of the Website after the revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Miscellaneous
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Accessibility Statement, and applicable Website notices, constitute the agreement concerning use of the Website.
If a provision is found unenforceable, it will be enforced to the greatest extent permitted and the remaining provisions will remain in effect. ROW’s failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without ROW’s written consent.
